Mark your calendars for the Thursday, Jan. 21 and join us at the Lansing State Journal for the 2016 Michigan Sports Editors Association meeting and professional development seminar.
AP Michigan sports writers Larry Lage and Noah Trister are hosting the session, and will be joined by Barry Bedlan, AP’s deputy director of Sports Products.
12:30 p.m. – Registration, pick up a name tag and mingle/nosh.
1-2 p.m. – Professional-development workshop on innovative storytelling methods with a panelist of members, from large and small papers, who are incorporating multimedia and social media to tell stories.
2-2:15 p.m. – AP business meeting. Barry Bedlan will have some good and interesting things to share about the DNEs, it’s an Olympic year and perhaps more.
2:15-2:30 – Break
2:30-3:15 – Detroit Tigers winter caravan, with handful of players, coaches, front office types for our guests to interview.
3:30- 4 p.m. – Q&A with Michigan State athletic director Mark Hollis
4 p.m. – Meeting wraps
